july pages

 

july is insane, it's hot and humid, but i've been reading a lot which is nice. i went back to the library to borrow some of anais nin's work and first volume of her diary cuz it feels like everyone is talking about her (while i'm fighting with mrs dalloway). as much as i'm getting into baking pies i refuse to cook most of the time so i'm getting addicted to chinese takeout. which is nice also. i like
the vegetable-friednoodles. i also have to remind myself to eat bcuz my migranes are coming back; i discovered last summer that i have to eat in order to prevent headaches..crazy. this summer i'm learning i have to sleep too to prevent those and periods of dissociation. i wonder what will the next summer brings... lol

i also cut my t-shirt which was a big hit in my wardrobe so the others might be seeing the scissors as well soon...

i have some characters i've been thinking about for a personal project i call the residency of the magician in which most of the characters are people with ordinary jobs while having magical abilities. so, i'm trying to incorporate that magician-esque thing into their design and shapes while not being too on the nose with it. it's tricky, i also don't know how much i like to push that whimsy and how much would be too much for the story... hmm ye.

i like the little hair-knot and big hoodie combo, they're cute. i also like the outfit of the other one, very much academia. part of the story will take place in a university/academia so it feels fitting. i like it but i don't like it at the same time, ya know?

a lot of thoughts, heard or unsaid things are scrambled onto these pages. my mind is full of ideas for stories i cannot write or for characters i cannot design just yet; it is mostly time and energy that creates that gap, between me and my practice. my mind is full but my hand cant keep up.
these pages are not effected by it but i started writing in the mornings and i realized my hand started to get more light, my thoughts started to slow down. and slowly they will align. i'm curious to see what will happen next.
